Mechanical results depend on the inputs, assumptions, material condition, geometry, environment, load cases, manufacturing variation, and verification evidence available for the actual application. A simplified result can identify a useful path without proving a final design.

Do not use as signoff

Do not use MechPlane as a substitute for qualified engineering review, applicable standards, manufacturer documentation, testing, inspections, or required approvals. This is especially important for regulated, safety-critical, lifting, pressure, medical, aerospace, automotive safety-system, or other high-consequence uses.
